Harm Of Herbal Supplements To A Fetus At 2 Wks?

Just found out we are pregnant 2 weeks ago. We are due in the end of April and since we weren’t planning on it I was taking herbal supplements for energy and keeping me regular. Obviously I stopped all supplements as soon as I thought. But the fetus was at most 2 weeks old when I stopped taking them. Could I have put our child at risk? I am extremely worried about this. Please advise.

It’s still very early in the pregnancy to be worried about something you’ve been doing. However now that you know you’re pregnant I would stop whatever it is you’re taking until you have your first Doctor’s visit where you can let them know everything you’re taking that way they can decide if its safe or not to continue. Good Luck and Congrats!

    hey :)
dont wory too much about it.
i am now pregnant with my second chld and i didnt find out i was pregnant with any of them untill at least 10 weeks.
I was taking a type of weight loss pill untill i found out i was pregnant and i went for my 20 week scan and baby is fine.
most people do things they regret in the first couple of weeks when you dont know you are pregnant and baby turns out to be ok.
if you are extreamly worried about it then speak to your midwife who may be able to get you an early scan to make sure baby is doing well and put your mind at ease.
    congrats and goodluck x

there are more harmfull substances to use then herbal, many people are still drinking or doing drugs at this stage, as they are unaware of PG,
and there is no harm noticed in the baby, since the baby was only 2 weeks, and it was a over the counter herbal, i am pretty sure there is no harm done..
    congrats
